Bisanum Viaggi starts its activity on 24th April 1999 on the initiative of 2 newly-graduated young friends, both loving tourism field and strongly believing in the tourist potentiality of Apulia. Mario Riontino (already holder of the Travel Agency “Albatros” in San Giovanni Rotondo, successfully operative since 1997) and Michele Soldano (who had experiences in many accommodation facilities of the Gargano)
Bisanum Viaggi opened its office in S. Giovanni Rotondo. Today it consists of two offices: the first one, in the heart of San Giovanni Rotondo, where are located the registered office and the groups’ accommodation branch and the second in the centre of Vieste, which was opened in 2005 and attends to individual booking.
The name “Bisanum” is the ancient name of San Giovanni Rotondo coming from the pagan legend of Janus, the two-faced God.
In the Logo, inherited from Albatros agency, Apulia is in green represented, as it really is: green also represented the hope at that time to see that project grows and expands; Apulia surrounded by the blue of its wonderful sea and in the upper side the orange and the red of those exclusive fantastic Apulian sunrises.
Mr. Riontino and Mr. Soldano immediately created a slogan as a flag to keep flying (“Apulia more beautiful than ever is offered”), they strongly believed that with a few originality, seriousness and above all professionalism they could made either San Giovanni Rotondo, the Gargano or the whole Apulia more interesting and fascinating, thanks to their services.
Today thanks to that successful slogan, Bisanum Viaggi has become a landmark for everyone who wants to travel in Apulia, from pilgrimages to Padre Pio to seaside holidays, from places rich in history and culture to natural paradises, which are existing in this beautiful region of Italy.
The tour operators of Bisanum Viaggi are specialized in incoming services. They organize and book both groups and individuals holidays in Hotels, Residences, Holiday villages, and so on; they book in the best restaurants and holiday farmhouses of the region stop-lunches, they organize tours and trips in the more renowned tourist resorts, from the Gargano to the Salento, tourist guide services (also multilingual) including.
Bisanum Viaggi is currently managing directly and in an independent way the holiday village LA GIARA in Vieste, commercialized as “Bisanum Club”.
We have published 3 catalogues: For the group division: “TOUR IN PUGLIA" (tour in Apulia) and “INCOMING PUGLIA” (incoming in Apulia) the last one is confidential only for tour operators and travel agencies; for individual holidays: “PUGLIA INCOMING” (Apulia incoming).
The purpose of these publications is to offer to anyone a chance to know and appreciate our wonderful Region, assuring always and in all of our services the professionalism and the quality that made Bisanum Viaggi the reliable landmark of many people, from small families to big Tour Operators.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
At the beginning of its activity, the target of Bisanum Viaggi was to improve the accommodation in Apulia for those people (groups or individuals), who needed a reliable partner in situ, offering quality services, professionalism, high flexibility and prompt assistance.
Quality. The resorts (hotels, holiday villages, tour guides, restaurants) are carefully chosen and selected, considering service quality, organisation and clients’ likings.
Professionalism. The staff of Bisanum Viaggi has been carefully selected, so that it can offer real and detailed information to the potential clients, not only about the resorts, but also about all nearby services. Then, willingness and courtesy do obviously the rest.
Flexibility. Another one strong point of Bisanum Viaggi. Registration fees, penalties, binding requests are things that the most productive agencies don’t know (excepting in high season periods) and that are also applied by the other agencies (conditions permitting). It’s also possible booking short or split stays.
Assistance. Thanks to our offices in San Giovanni Rotondo, in Vieste and a correspondent in Lecce, we can provide assistance for whole Apulia. We can assure groups or families being faced with a problem, that they have a qualified staff at their disposal, ready to solve every trouble arising during their holidays.
